Topics and Demonstrations

You can expect an engaging mix of presentations, demonstrations, and discussions with some of the people behind this project. Different use cases will be presented to show the methodologies and tools developed:

  • Front-loading of Tier-1 design results enabling aircraft OEMs to more quickly be able to do aircraft trade-offs, as demonstrated in the DEFAINE integral industrial use case. The use case utilizes, among others, KE-chain to control and coordinate the storage and communication between players

  • Multi-level optimization enabling thorough design space exploration with varying amounts of optimization parameter amounts, as showcased with the Multidisciplinary Modeler for moveable design. Technology in this use case includes KADMOS and CMDOWS from TU Delft and proprietary framework of GKN Fokker Aerostructures: MultiDisciplinary Modeller (MDM) that is based on ParaPy’s KBE System.

  • Using MBSE for automatic code generation and round-tripping code changes to the knowledge model, as demonstrated with the EWIS architecture design case.

  • Evaluating different product architectures and functional requirements of engine configurations via Value Driven Design and automation frameworks. Including the functional modelling tool Configurable Component Modeller from PE Geometry, Club Design (a Value Driven Design tool by Chalmers), and in house GKN Aeroengine automation frameworks.

We look forward to the opportunity to share our journey and insights with you. Don't forget to register your attendance in the contact button!
